Modern paragliding
Mystery how and why the paraglider fly is hidden in Bernoulli's equation, which is consisted of buoyancy forces, structures and aero profile slope mountain slopes.
Driving force to any no engineaircraft, and even paragliding is given by G force acting normal to the substrate.
Wind (horizontal air flow) only helps or detracts.
Departure and landing is in opposite direct of wind as any other aircraft, because this way is reduced the Runway.
So, if landing is downwind, speed of glider is added to the speed of the wind, which can lead to losing control of the aircraft and getting into danger. Wind speed of 7-8 m /s is a top limit for takeoff and it limits our activities for security reasons. Therefore, we always pray to God Eol from Greek mythology to send us good winds on weekends, when we like spoony conquer mountain slopes for take off. Unfortunately, in Serbia there are not many adequate slopes to take off, or we did not find and adjust them to our needs, but we found our way to take off on flat surface with the help of winch. Also, paragliding has no dead season but the best period is summer! Desire to fly can be prevented by strong wind, low visibility, low temperature, rainfall, etc…
As you can see, paragliding and nature are completely connected and in order to become an experienced paraglide pilot, it is necessary to listen, feel and understand the language of nature.
